Nanotechnology opens new horizons: single photon devices allow quantum technology in telecommunications, silicon photonics connects semiconductor and optical technologies, green photonics paves the way for a sustainable reduction of fossile and nuclear power consumption. With new and improved methods for the solution of Maxwell’s equations we support both fundamental research in physics and the design and manufacturing of real-world devices.
