JCMwave was founded in 2002 as spin-off from the Zuse Institute Berlin. JCMwave provides state of the art simulation tools for accurate computations of electromagnetic field propagation with focus on photonic applications. JCMwave benefits continuously from leading edge research in numerical mathematics, from the technological progress of advanced photonic solutions as well as from the need of more accurate, fast and reliable simulations of ever more complex structures. The initials of James Clerk Maxwell are part of our company's name to indicate our main focus, to honor the achievements of the great physicist, and to show how his work impacts modern life.
